Festival poster
Poster made for LAB University of Applied Sciences' preliminary assignment.
Overview
As part of my application to LAB University of Applied Sciences for Visual Communication Design, I was given a pre-assignment to design a festival poster where my favourite artist is the headliner. Additional artists were optional to decide, and I was free to figure out my own festival name. The poster had to feature the festival name, a date (17 August 2024), a random venue and address, the headliner, five featuring artists, full colour, and A3 format.
My goals were to highlight colour harmony, express the visual weight of my favourite artists and bands, and create a cohesive set of memorable elements. The name 'Cube Fest' is short, punchy, and easy to remember - much like the rectangles that also carry the design, visually communicating the order of artists and bands. This is honestly one of my favourite posters I've ever designed. I love the isometric perspective, the colours, and the way the rectangles create a pleasing, memorable design. Oh, and - I got through to the entrance exams!
I really liked this project. It is propably one of my favorite posters i have made. I think the colors are nice and the arrangement of the cubes is very pleasing to the eye.
