Finnish summer in music
Music festival animation made during a course in Aalto University.
Overview
In the course Väline Liike, I was tasked with designing a short 15-second motion graphics video exploring the theme "Summer Peaks." Given my deep passion for music, I decided to approach the brief through the lens of Finnish music festivals. The video incorporates four techniques: basic geometric shapes, kinetic typography, vector graphics, and video footage. By combining simple, clean forms together, I created a visually communicative graphic advertisement that captures the distinct styles and vibes of different festivals. For my very first animation in After Effects, the project turned out to be a real success - and I'm genuinely proud of it. My teacher gave extremely positive feedback and awarded me full points for the course.
These were the requirements for the video made during the course.
